Let’s learn something more about the Asklepios Olive Oil!
The name “Asklepios” is proper for the olive oil produced by the most ancient olive tree variety, “Olympia”. It is meant to honor the god that, according to mythology, was the first famous therapist. He made healthy eating popular, like a shield protecting people’s health, and spread the usage of herbs and other natural products of the Greek land one of which is the Extra Virgin Olive Oil “Asklepios”. The nutritional substances and its special features have been proven by two of the most prestigious Universities in Greece:
1. National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacognosy & Natural Products Chemistry. The chemical analysis of the Asklepios olive oil samples certifies that the
phenol indicators are 3,5 times higher than the international standard indicators that give permission to be labeled as “Extra Virgin Oil”.
It is also mentioned in the “comments” section, that its special substances classify it among “olive oils that protect from the lipid oxidation, according to the “432/2012EU Regulation”.
As it is obvious, the “Asklepios” Olive Oil, besides its high nutritional value, is rich in high phenol indicators (“Oleocanthal and Oleacein) which consist a natural shield for the health that keeps sever ailments away.
2. Technological Educational Institute of Peloponnese, Kalamata Olive Oil Taste Laboratory. The results of the chemical analysis of the samples classified the Asklepios Olive Oil first in the list of olive oils, without any negative comment mentioned.
